About Us

We were founded by Thomas Walsh Sr. in 1970, and are now the largest privately-owned radiography service company in the Tri-State area. We have steadfastly remained independent, but not isolated. Across the globe, A Walsh Imaging has developed productive alliances and partnerships that advance our capacity to offer and service innovative x-ray technologies at lower costs. A Walsh Imaging consistently strives to be an excellent company to work for, and our employees have sustained a culture that values excellence, integrity, and respect for people.

A Walsh Imaging is owned and operated by an Executive Team comprised of Patrick Walsh, President; Thomas D. Walsh, Vice President; and Anthony Iurato, Vice President. Patrick and Thomas began their employment with the company when they were teenagers and quickly became interested and well experienced X-ray Service Technicians. During this time, the company hired Anthony in 1991 as a Processor Service Technician. Over the years, their strong work ethic assisted each of them with tackling the new and growing responsibilities within the company. As the company began preparing for the retirement of its founders, the Walsh Family asked Anthony to become a Partner in 2003. Today Patrick, Thomas and Anthony enjoy an excellent partnership and friendship that enables them to work as a unified force to handle and manage all of the company's day to day affairs.

Mr. and Mrs. Walsh originally founded the company in 1970 following Mr. Thomas Walsh's long service as an X-ray Service Engineer for the world renowned Picker Corporation. Picker produced air dropped x-ray labs for the Army in World War II and the Korean War and later became pioneers in the field of cobalt treatment for cancer, ultrasound, and nuclear imaging diagnostics. Walsh X-ray began as a small business with few employees yet quickly flourished due to hard work and perseverance. Mrs. Sarah Ann Walsh was an important part of that success and worked alongside her husband managing the office. Mrs. Walsh also brought her experience as an X-ray Technician, which she received while working for several reputable healthcare facilities. Today, many second and third generation-owned practices continue to be clients of A Walsh Imaging.

To symbolize both the Digital X-ray era and the new Executive Team the company officially changed its name to A Walsh Imaging in 2003. As a company and as individuals, we have come a long way since our humble beginnings. The past eight years have given us an unprecedented amount of growth and in the process we have acquired four of our competitors; as well as more than doubled our clients and staff. In 2007, our corporate holdings were expanded with the multimillion dollar purchase of the commercial complex we are located within. Our astounding projected growth rate will be nearly triple within the next decade - a sign of great assurance about the future of the company in the new millennium.

A Walsh Imaging provides over 2,600 medical and veterinary facilities throughout New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania with professional digital x-ray, x-ray equipment, and x-ray processor services and supplies. Our substantial coverage area includes the communities and areas indicated on the map to your left.

Thanks to the confidence our clients place in us, we are continually expanding our coverage area based on demand.
