To dispose of an ionizing radiation producing machine the unit must be totally disabled, carefully removed, transported and disposed of in a manner which abides by and respects the standards set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In most cases it is highly recommended by State Governments to contact an x-ray service company that is well trained, experienced and qualified for x-ray equipment disposal.

Certified for hauling and disposal, A Walsh Imaging's immensely skilled x-ray equipment disposal technicians are properly trained in the disabling of the control (generator) and transformer; as well as the proper removal of the x-ray tube. Parts which are incapable and not allowed by the EPA to be recycled are discarded in a manner which allows for the disposal of them in accordance with regulations set forth by the EPA. There may be a fee imposed for x-ray equipment disposal due to location, situation and model of the unit. Incorporation of this fee may possibly be included in the purchase and installation of new x-ray equipment by A Walsh Imaging.
